Our Quarles Water Treatment Plant was presented with the Georgia Assocation of Water Professionals Platinum Award in recognition of complete and consistent SDWA permit compliance during the calendar year of 2023.
The purpose of this Award is to further encourage and promote advancements and achievements in the environmental laboratory field. The Award may be presented annually to a member of the Assocation who has demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in operating an environmental laboratory facility; performed outstanding service in instruction and training other laboratory analysts; contributed to advancement of the laboratory field; and/or developed analytical techniques, procedures or instrumentation. The Ira C. Kelley Award was given to Karen Osborne.
CCMWA's Simmons Laboratory earned the Gold Award for the fourth year in a row.
The purpose of this award is to encourage the professional advancement of laboratories within Georgia. The process provides an avenue for peers to exchange ideas, circulate technical expertise, and offer productive feedback. In doing so, the committee ultimately recognizes those laboratories that are demonstrating outstanding quality assurance programs.

CCMWA's Wyckoff Plant was the recipient of GAWP's Platinum Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Year Award in 2022 for 15 years of complete and consistent SDWA permit compliance. This award recognizes facilities operated by Corporate and Utility members that had no NPDES or pretreatment permit violations during the preceding calendar year.

Stan Brinkley was awarded the 2021 Nathan Meredith DeJarnette Award. This award recognizes a member for their role in further encouraging and promoting operational advancements and achievements in the water and water pollution control field. The GAWP Dejarnette Award reflects outstanding accomplishments in operating a water or water pollution control facility, and/or providing outstanding service in instruction and training for other operators, as well as enhancing field operations or operational devices, techniques, or programs.
Keith Southern, a Class I Operator working at Quarles for almost 33 years, was selected to receive the GAWP's 2021 District 3 Water TopOp Award. This award recognizes operators who have been a moving force in the operations of their respective facilities and has encouraged the spread of operations knowledge in some way.

To be considered for this award, the plant must recycle or reuse natural resources such as nutrients or organic matter found in biosolids, demonstrate energy efficiency and/or cost effectiveness, demonstrate excellence in program management, and technical innovation in the management of biosolids/residuals.

Our Quarles Water Treatment plant won Project of the year at the American Society of Civil Engineer awards for the many innovative and unique features of the $71.8 million-dollar project. Several aspects of the project were highlighted including public outreach to scheduling and construction sequencing to equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

At the 2018 Georgia American Water Works Association (GAWWA) conference, our General Manager, Glenn Page, was honored with the George Warren Fuller Award. This award is presented annually by each section of American Water Works Association to a selected member for their distinguished service to the water supply field in commemoration of the sound engineering skill, brilliant diplomatic talent, and the constructive leadership. Recipients of the award have provided outstanding leadership or have made a significant contribution toward the advancement of the water works practice within the Association.
