EPD Declares Level 1 Drought Response
On October 18, 2019, the Director of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) declared a Level I Drought Response for 103 Counties in Georgia, including Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority's service area. The state of Georgia will continue to follow the non-drought schedule for outdoor water use according to the Georgia Water Stewardship Act. As a regional wholesale provider, Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority provides potable water to 10 retail water suppliers. In conjunction with our retail water suppliers, CCMWA encourages residents to use water wisely to protect our water resources.

The Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA) is a regional public utility that provides potable (drinking and fire protection) water on a wholesale basis to 11 retail water suppliers, one industrial customer and one institutional customer and is the second largest supplier of safe drinking water in Georgia.
