Georgia EPD Eases Level 1 Drought Response, Urges Continued Water Conservation
Updated: December 27th, 2019
As a result of recent rainfall and improving conditions, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is ending its Level 1 Drought Response in 103 Georgia counties, including Cobb County. The decision means that almost all Georgians will return to a non-drought outdoor water use schedule according to the Georgia Water Stewardship Act. As a regional wholesale provider, Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority provides potable water to 10 retail water suppliers. In conjunction with our retail water suppliers, CCMWA encourages residents to use water wisely to protect our water resources.
