Indoor Water Saving Tips

  • Take a five-minute (or less) shower and/or turn off the water while lathering or shampooing.
  • Turn off the sink faucet while brushing your teeth.
  • Operate the washing machine with full loads only.
  • Plug the sink and use that water instead of letting it run while you wash dishes.
  • Run the dishwasher only when full and use the lowest water-setting level.

The Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA) is a regional public utility that provides potable (drinking and fire protection) water on a wholesale basis to 11 retail water suppliers, one industrial customer and one institutional customer and is the second largest supplier of safe drinking water in Georgia.

Awards and Recognition


During the recent Spring Conference, GAWP recognized CCMWA’s Hugh A. Wyckoff Division with the Best Operated Water Plant of the Year Award in the category of Surface Water 50 MGD and over per day. There were eight total submissions within this category including our Quarles facility that received 3rd place!


At the 2018 Georgia American Water Works Association (GAWWA) conference, our General Manager, Glenn Page, was honored with the George Warren Fuller Award. This award is presented annually by each section of American Water Works Association to a selected member for their distinguished service to the water supply field in commemoration of the sound engineering skill, brilliant diplomatic talent, and the constructive leadership.

Are we still under a drought and drought restrictions?

On March 8, 2018, Georgia's Environmental Protection Division lifted the Level 1 drought response across 12 counties in northern Georgia, including Cobb County.  More information can be found in the link below:

CCMWA is a water wholesaler and does not send out water bills to residents. If you have a question concerning a water bill, please contact your local water utility.
